What is the difference between an I Pad and an I Phone. Which is best to buy?

You can use the iPhone as a mini-computer and as a telephone, but you can use the iPad as a computer only… (Ok, Ok, I know with the addition certain apps one can make certain types of calls on the iPad, but it's complicated and in some cases (Skype) you can only call others who have Skype)...

You can call anyone on skype on iPad, not just other skype users.

Do you want a small light weight computer that is good for browsing the Internet?

Or do you want a phone that is a teensy-winsy computer with a teensy-winsy screen (relative to an iPad)

If being able to make calls or if you have a long running mobile contract go with the IPad.

I have an iPhone and an iPad which are both lovely but they are expensive for what they are and what they can do.
