In my sent items box I've got 41,509 sent emails. They are all the same email sent over and over again. The recipient only gets it once.
Does anyone know
Why this is happening
How to stop it
How to delete the whole lot in one go?
Thanks

I can't tell why this happened unless you can reproduce it. You may have lingered too long on the "send" button. If all else fails, copy your store of saved emails and uninstall Live Mail. Then reinstall it using a clean copy from the Microsoft site. You can delete them by clicking on the first, then scroll down to the last and hold down shift + click. Then press...

You can delete them by clicking on the first, then scroll down to the last and hold down shift + click. Then press delete (or click on the delete button). If you want to delete everything in your sent box, click on one item, then press Crtl + A followed by delete.

Thank you for replying. I have deleted them all using that method. I just wondered if there was another way as it took 45 minutes. In the last 2 hours since I did that there are another 342 items in the sent items box. All the same again. I will try the uninstall/reinstall and let you know.

Jim, I did that after we spoke yesterday and I've just checked and my sent items box is empty. So it looks like that worked. Thanks gain.
