New Sony Digital Tv ... Terrific, But...

How do we use the DVD player ? Having pressed almost every button on the remote we can't find the right one ...any helpers out there, please

Is this a remote control for he DVD player, or a combined remote? And is the DVD player a separate piece of equipment or is it a slot on the side of your TV?

Hi Maydup ... I'm talking about the remote for the TV, we also have a remote for the DVD, but on the old tv remote, we would press a button to get video1, for the DVD.

Finding anything which seems to serve the same purpose on the new remote is proving elusive, although the chap selling the new set told my OH the dvd would be compatible.

You probably have a button marked "input" or "TV/AV" on your remote. Press that and you will have a choice of which socket your DVD is connected to. In the good old days TVs often had only one input socket for DVDs etc, now they have several for SCART, HDMI USB and so on. If in doubt, read the manual.

On my Sony remotes the button has an arrow pointing into a TV screen.
