I want 3 stars against my screen name like the 'elite' posters on this site. How do I go about it? If I don't get them then I will refrain from posting hereforthwith.

I thought those stars were given on a "per answer" basis and were in fact a rating of the actual answer rather than the person giving it, who may or may not derive some satisfaction from seeing them?
