My Mac Book Pro Has Second Time Gone To Blank Screen With Lines, Am I Entitled To A Refund?
i took it to the apple store as it self corrected itself before they tested everthing and said its working fine and all ok, but as its happened again and the year warranty is in May i am wondering where i stand to ask for a refund or brand new laptop.
can anyone tell me what is wrong with the laptop and as within my 1 year warranty period if best to insist on refund or new one. i bought a mac as thought i was getting value for money but apple store chap said no more reliable! great confidence in their own product! any advice about this and whether to invest my money in an alternative brand! thank you

Have you investigated on the Internet as to whether this is a common fault or at least one that others have experienced?
If you can demonstrate that there are others experiencing the same problem it will help your case. Intermittent faults particularly one that has only occurred twice is going to be a toughie without some similar occurrences for other users.

Sounds like either the screen is on it's way out or there is a loose wire connection between screen and laptop (can occur from frequent opening and closing). Either way you need proof: rather than taking a picture try a video via phone etc.
As far as alternatives, don't be too hasty to write off Apple completely... think of how many thousands of Macbooks - or any other Apple computer - are produced... not all have faults.
Maybe ask your question on a specific Mac forum for more info/advice, such as here:
