Ipad Problems

I tried to send an email with a photograph earlier this morning. But instead of winging it's way to the recipient it is sitting in my outbox with a red exclamation mark in a circle beside it. How do I persuade it to move on?

Please note that I am very un-techy, so could some nice person please give instructions in words of one syllable that even I can understand. Thanks.

You might have spelt the recipients email address wrong...

It means that your message is sending failed. Tap on the red exclamation mark adjacent to a failed message and Tap on “Try Again”
