Hello everyone.
I have a normal pc for home use.
I have noticed just of late that on some occaisions that when I open up word to recieve my emails the small horeizontal indicator bar indicates as usual of incomming mails along with there size etc and as usual a pop up shows that the email is being scaned for virus as usual and the emails duly appear
So good so far. on some occasions incoming mail is apparent as usual with the pop up
but no emails appear
Q; what and why and should I be suspicious of some manevalencs?

Thanks in advance

To the best of my knowledge, Outlook doesn't have any virus scanning built into it. So the 'indicator bar' you're seeing must actually be put there by your security software. However we don't know what that is. Perhaps it's automatically dumping anything which seems to have a virus attached to it? If so, going into the logs of that security program should...

you get your emails in word? That seems incredibly unusual
also, what is manevalencs?
Sorry, but nobody here will have any idea of what you're referring to unless you tell us how you access your email. Many people use web-based services, by going to the websites of email providers such as Gmail or GMX. Other people use email clients (such as Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird) to access their email accounts.

However one program that definitely CAN'T access email is Microsoft Word! (It's solely a word processing program). So what are you ACTUALLY using (and with which email provider)?
I suspect it's a typo for malevolence

Hello All

My mistake. I open my emails in microsoft outlook.

Also Malevalence means; with bad intentions. As apposed to benevalence; Good intentions (possible spelling error)

Thanks again for your answers
I would think that emails with attachments are being scanned - no attachment then no need to scan.

Or perhaps if emails are disappearing they are being filtered as junk/spam - check your junk/spam folder.
