Depends which software you are using, dulux. And which operating system.

Though deleting it from deleted file sounds pretty terminal, on the face of it.

Get a utilities package like Norton (available for PC or Macintosh) and this allows you to recover some, but not all, deleted files.
"Only really professional programmers should attempt to retrieve from DOS"... now that made me laugh. Some of us used DOS as kids, it's not that hard to to get your head around. How far we've sunk in a few short years, now people get scared by anything that isn't point-and-click!

jenstar - if you used it as a kid and its so easy to get your head around it, can you not adivise dulux how to use it to recover the deleated file then?

jenstar - nice of you to be so unpleasantly patronising!

I never liked Outlook or Outlook Express (I always used Yahoo), but I now have to use a form of Outlook called 'Outlook Web Acces' as part of my job. This has a feature under Options right at the bottom called 'Recover Deleted Items' - haven't needed to use it yet though.

Which email program are you using? Don't know if Yahoo has a similar option - will look.
