Can anyone help sort a new problem? Everytime I start up the system I now get the above message. I'm running Windows7 Ultimate on a Dell 5150 with an external drive attached.
I have an HP Photosmart 5510 printer as my default printer.
Cheers

Common model number from Dell. Is it a desktop or laptop? If it's a desktop, what screen is connected? I assume that this message is referring to your monitor?

I've absolutely no idea whether it's actually true or not but 7½ years ago Dell were apparently telling people that it's normal and it will go away after a few weeks:

Thanks for the reply methyl.
It's a desktop & the monitor is a Dell E196FP (Generic PnP)? Set at 1280 X 1080.
If that's any help!
