when typing an answer (before posting) I find that I cannot cut and paste bits of text that I have typed. I usually highlight what I want to move and then right-click to go to the cut option. It doesn't seem to work though - any ideas?
I've experienced this too - there appears to be a fairly major bug in the software running answerbank - I've seen it crash browsers too! The only way I've found to get around the problem you describe is to double-click on the paragraph you want the text from, use Ctrl-C to copy the text, and then paste the whole paragraph into your response. Then just delete the bits you don't want. It's not perfect, but it works most of the time.
Download Mozilla Firefox - it's free - and you can then highlight, copy and paste at will. Cuts out all the multiple double/triple-clicking if the text contains more than one paragraph.
...Agree about Mozilla.....no idea why it works with that and not IE but it does. Hold down Ctrl and LEFT click will also highlight a paragrah but not single words...
Shivvy. Are you typing using MS Word? If so, use the Edit/Cut option at the top of the page after highlighting.
Must agree with Quizmonster and Commoner. Firefox is the tops. Also Thunderbird email client.
