Avast Denied Full Entry On A Scan
4 Answers
I have, malwarebytes.....Superantispyware...Avast. These are all free programmes. When I scan with the first two, they are always complete. However with Avast, every time, I get 'Some files could not be scanned'.This leads to abut 6 screens saying 'Error. archive protected'. I just counted the last scan and there are over 90 lines but about a third could have the word 'languages' in it.
Looking in the settings I see the scan PUP is off (whatever that does) So I changed it to on, but the same result. Has anybody else had this problem?
Thanks for any ideas.

Avast, however, has simply been finding some files which are password-protected and reporting that it can't access them. It's perfectly normal and nothing to worry about:
