How To Change Search Page

Avast found an add on or something that it said needed removing, it wouldn't finish the removal process unless I let it change my search page from google to yahoo. Now I don't know how to change it back, can anyone help please? yahoo is really poor compared to google

It depends what Operating system and browser you are using?
An internet search typing in "how to change browser search engine in xxxxx "[type name of you browser] search should bring up clear instructions.

I have windows 7 and using google chrome. Thanks for your advice, I didn't have much luck with what you said but after going into 'settings' on google home page for the umpteenth time I found the button to click and it's back to normal now
