Infinity fibre runs only to the cabinet - it's a FTTC product (fibre to the cabinet).
The final yards to your house will be the existing copper wire, but you need a new modem/router box attached to it in your house.
This means that if you are a good way from the Cab you won't get real 'fibre' speeds - but should still get more than your previous 'copper all the way' speeds.
FTTH (where the optic fibre actually comes to your premises) is, by and large, only a big business product in the UK at the moment.
