My all singing, all dancing flatscreen full HD LED TV has a visual effect present on it that I've not come across on my old CRT TV.
I sometimes watch movies that feature golf games and I've noticed that when the golf ball is hit considerable distances through the air, the ball is shown on screen with a ghostly ball image in front of it and the same behind it. In effect for a brief moment, it looks like three balls are following the same trajectory! As the ball slows, the images merge into one.
Is this something to do with the technology? Is it that the pixels are not able to keep up with the high speed image of the ball?
It seems to be a fact of life with many HD LED sets. Google for "hd led tv ball ghosting" and you'll see links to lots of complaints about it, but little in the way of a solution
