Has Your Handwriting Gone To Hell As You Type More Than You Write?

My handwriting looks like i'm 7. Has anyone elses or do you write as much as you type to keep in practice?

mine's not fluent as it was, but it's not too bad. But I am old and had years of practice before emails were invented. I wonder if younger people can really do handwriting at all. It's not a skill they will have a lot of use for (any mroe than I have now).

I won prizes for my handwriting at school, sadly as the years creep on, the handwriting deteriorates.

If I make a big effort - I can write ok. I do about 4 types of style.

Also I pride myself that after all these years I can write in Irish style. Unfortunately never get to use it.

I get panic-struck now on the odd occasion I have to sign my name - even that's changed.

Have to write slower but still looks reasonable.

When i am in the mood, I love to write out cards and the accasional letter.
When I use my Italic pen, my writing improves 100%
Other than that, my scribble is horrendous when pencil writing my shopping list!

Yes...terrible. I can still write very neatly but there was a time when I took down notes very quickly it was still quite neat. Now I can barely read it.

Actually I write so little these days (even type out my shopping list) that when I do write I make that extra effort and it looks really nice. Jotting down a phone message or something i see no difference from pre- keyboard years

To read my own handwriting I need to wear the same pair of specs that I was wearing at the time of writing.

After many years of abstinence I have once again taken up the fountain pen, as my writing in ballpoint is atrocious. However, have you seen the price of ink? A bottle of Parker's finest Quink, which used to cost me 2/6 is now nearly eight sovs! Mml for mml that is dearer than the finest champagne!

my handwriting is rubbish, first job entailed writing in block capitals, pressing hard to get 3 copies, now I can hardly read my writing, perhaps I should become a doctor.

Not just my handwriting. I can barely compose a paragraph without using word processing functionality.
