Sky Remote

This last while the sky remote is very slow and does not seem to work properly.When I go to a programmes the small preview pages enlarges okay but going down the page to a channel it will not engage that channel so I have to take a note of the channel number ,then back up last channel watched and press in the selected channel number to be able to view the new channel .Is it the remote or is it the sky box plus any ideas .

I don't know, but have you tried rebooting the Sky box?

Unplug and leave it about ten seconds then plug it in again.

You will have to wait a while as it 'searches for listings'

Have you got a neighbour or friend with a Sky box, that you can test the remote on?

I had a similar problem recently, I rang Sky and they talked me through a sort of rebuild, I went into menus I didn't know existed, problem was solved, give them a call

Sorted ,went to sky help on ipad .instructed to remove batteries ,hold select button down for 30 seconds ,,replace batts and cover ,press sky flashes twice press TV guide and it work .thanks for those that answered this maybe of help to others .

Thanks for updating us with the outcome - I hate it when people don't do that but leave you wondering.

I'm glad it worked out.

Incidentally the remote would have worked with any Skybox, so you could have tried it on a friends box and tried their remote on yours.
