Watching homeVideo online

Hi

My sister wanted to send me some video footage via e-mail, but she says the file is way too big, is there a website on-line that she could post it on so that we can view it? a bit like you can with photo's on imageshack etc..
She lives in Oz, so it would mean waiting ages if she sent it thru the post on DVD, but if this is the only way possible then so be it I guess.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

How big exactly is it?

If necessary, one way round it is to use WinRAR which can break up a 10MB file into ten 1MB files which can be emailed one at a time.

Either way, how big?

Well I am not an expert and I am not sure what format it is in but if she was going to send it by e mail then this might work (not sure how big a file you are talking about) if you are both logged into Yahoo messenger or msn messenger you can transfer video files between you while you are chatting one to one  and it seems to work ....  I have done this with small videos, however I do not know how fast your connections are ....

Just checked in my message history on MSN and she said the video was 18MB!  How do you get WinRAR stevie21?

I didn't know you could transfer video files on MSN lady_p_gold! We have sent photo's to each other that way but I never thought about video, cheers. It does seem to take sometime when we dowload photo's tho.

Well the last one we sent between us was 14MB and it did not take very long at all.

Next time she is on-line I will get her to send it thru the IM. I just thought that it may take sometime as she is saying it is too big for e-mail so figured it would take ages thru IM too :o)

Yep will do Commoner, only prob is she is a nurse & does a lot of long shifts, so she may not come on the internet for another week or so. I'll do a new post to tell you how she gets on :o)
