Microsoft Outlook Emails
5 Answers
Two problems here. The first is the lady who worked in our office and has now left put a shortcut to our business emails on the desktop. However whenever we want to go away we cannot access our emails from another computer. This former employee says she has no idea what the password into the account is and although we've tried several passwords that we've used for other things nothing lets us access our email from any computer except the one in our office. ? Any help would be grateful.
Also the above mentioned previous employee set up the email account in 2007
and she's made so her name appears at the top of every email we send out. Someone told me the only way to get rid of her name at the top of the email was to change email address, but as we are an established small business who is dealing more and more by email, this would be catastrophic for our business. Anyone have a solution other than changing email address?

Download Mail PassView to your work computer, then install and run it. (You might need to temporarily disable your antivirus software. Don't worry, NirSoft is a highly reputable software developer). Apart from running it, you don't need to do anything else; it automaticall y lists all email passwords stored on your computer:...

That's not relevant here, Maydup. Suppose that at work I'm [email protected] and it's Microsoft Outlook. Away from work, I go to the web site login.microsoftonline.com, and log in as [email protected] then the password The snag is that whoever set up this remote access couldn't use my work password, because she/he isn't supposed to know it, so put a different one. At least she told me the second password before she left, so I'm okay, but the OP isn't - yet.
The microsoftonline.login site seems to be happy to let you set a new password, but I haven't tried it. Maybe you have to confirm it from your work computer before it becomes active.

Where does the former employee's name appear? Is it in the headers (e.g. in the 'From' field) or within the body of the text. If it's within the headers you can simply go to the account details and change what's there:
