Free Word Processor (Not Open Office)

Hello,

would anyone be able to recommend a free word processor. I am trying to use Open office but when download it I get a pop up message saying the set up file is not compatible with widows, which is odd as I had openoffice instlled previously.

If you are Not happy with Open Office then Libre Office is certainly the one to get. However, I always recommend going to official sites, for fear that a download from a third party may be packed with PUPS (potentially unwanted programmes).

Or try Kingsoft Office from http://www.kingsoftstore.co.uk/kingsoft-office-freeware.html - when I was using it, I found it was much faster to load than either Open Office or Libre Office and was just as compatible with MS Word and Excel.
