My Battered Old Laptop Running Windows Xp - Virtual Memory
14 Answers
Hi all,
I keep getting (about once a week) a message in a balloon at the bottom of my screen which says 'Windows- Virtual memory minimum too low'
It says something about it will automatically increase it, and I forget about it.
Is there anything I can do about it? Is it anything to worry about?
Thanks all in advance

Consider increasing your "real" PC memory (RAM). Or don't run so much at once. Use of virtual memory will slow the PC as data is swapped into and out of the hard disk space being used as virtual memory, but if it runs out things'll crash out anyway.
