Ipod Problem

A few days ago a glitch appeared on my screen. When I am in Spolight to the left of the screen & all down that side I have a bookmark, a pair of spec's and a "@" which I cannot get rid of or hide, it leaves me only two thirds of the page which is usable.
Anybody any idea how I restore it please.

Are you sure its spotlight?

What you have on the left of the screen is usually found in Safari by clicking on the book icin to the left of the address bar.

If the book icon is brighter tap it and the page will come back
