Has anyone using amazon had a message in a green box appear on the screen saying that as of today due to security vulnerabilitythe browser being used won't be supported and gives a list of alternative browsers to download?

Well Amazon is certainly no longer supporting browsers using SSL 3.0 but, rather unhelpfully, they don't actually say which those browsers are:
