Printing my work

Right, I've been trying for ages now to print my work off, but everytime I try it says "cannot find printer", I'v tried everything, i even put the printer directly infront of the monitor, but it still send the same message! ARGH!!!! It's driving me mad!! can anybody help? Thanks

Take the printer out of the box seal.

Have you clicked :
Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes?
(some Start Menus have a direct link to Printers and Faxes)

Make sure your printer shows as being installed here. If not, "add printer" and hopefully have the CD that came with the printer to hand.

Also make sure that all the wires between the PC and printer are firmly connected and that the printer is turned on!

When you have got to your 'printer' menu, try 'test print'  IF it works, your software is at fault if it doesn't then it's either the win driver or hardware.
