E Mail Notification Sound Not Responding

since update to ios8 my e mail receive sound is not responding , I don't know I have mail till I click mail then the alert sound comes through and mail.
I have checked in notifications and seems ok there . Never did this before I updated . Any help appreciated .

Know nothing of iStuff.

Is there not a setting for sounds on your device ? Make sure they haven't turned off one for e-mail arrival.

Hi OG thanks for reply . The e mails are arriving but they are not letting me know they are there like it did before I updated . I have to click on emails and then they come through along with the alert sound .

basically, uninstall then reinstall the mailbox app.

Thanks for that Frank I am sure you helped me out before on something that was simple but wasn't to me lol . I clicked on your link I clicked 1 thing and hey presto all working fine now .Did not need to uninstall. Many people like me would me lost on things like this if it weren't for people like you . Ask me anything about the international space station and I can tell you lol.

Thanks for that Hans always interesting to read although I am not very tech . I did not need to uninstall . One item that should have been clicked wasn't . Don't know why . But found it by comparing my ipad screen with Franks link. Since these big updates on ipads something always seems to disappear .
