I'm running Windows seven and have been using Windows live mail with no problems. Tonight however I changed my antivirus from AVG free to Avast paid for.
Somehow in the process I lost my live mail icon from the desktop and when I looked in the program list on the start menu, it wasn't there either.
I don't think I have lost my saved mails (hope not) but is there any way I can look for them and hopefully retrieve them.
Also is there any way I can get live mail back as was, with connections details etc, or will I have to (and how) reinstall it.
Try using Start > Search to look for wlmail.exe If it's there, double-click on it to run it. Hopefully you'll then see Windows Live Mail as before. If so, right-click on wlmail.exe and select Send To > Desktop (Shortcut).
