I shall be getting a new phone tomorrow.....and I would like to e-mail some of the photos I am going to take....

But for Android systems you have one of the better ones in my opinion. For one thing, if it's an Xperia x3 it's pretty much waterproof which is a nice feature. Sony excels in the camera systems on its products so I'm sure you'll appreciate its quality and ease of use.
As grass carp intimates, you'll find the taking of the pictures and then either sharing or storing a simply task quickly learned. It'll help if you become familiar with your home computer's photo system so you can transfer the camera data to the computer, where, with a good photo system such as Picasa (free) you can quickly learn to crop and otherwise manipulate the photo for a better viewing quality.
