Hi, Sky + Has Hung

I'd be grateful for any suggestions to get out of the loop, we have tried the usual, unplug etc

We get back to the Sky shop page 998 I think and can't get off it

My sons sky box in his bedroom went a bit mental the other night, had to ring them up and give them some info from the services screen and they corrected it straight away

Check that your remote control is in Sky mode by pressing the Sky button.

The light on the remote should flash - if not try new batteries.


You can also use the buttons on the box.


If you have a tablet you can change channels with it, if you have your box connected to your internet.

Just asked Mr T and he said a phone call would be best. Says they're very good and will talk you through the process.

Apparently they take 15 minutes to reset after being unplugged. Have you left it off for long enough, sibs?

everything on TV is crap anyway...no wonder I normally go and get sloshed!

This happens to us every now and the we do the following:
1 unplug skybox.
2 remove viewing card and wipe with clean cloth
3 plug skybox back in
4 replace viewing card
5 wait 1 minute
6 use remote to turn skybox back on, this can sometimes take several presses of button on remote
7 when skybox eventually turns on, it defaults to channel 998
8 select whichever channel you want or press play to play recorded programme.
