How do you know all unwanted calls are unwanted though. My doctors phones me on a withheld number and so does a ppi scammer!

Was that the one you had a lot of trouble trying to set up?

Add the numbers that you know that "will ring" you Mum, your GP, Family, friends, Name them + their number they will be allowed to call, the last week, no calls at all, well worth the money.
All I can say is...."I hope you have spent quite wisely your £44.00" Personally, I have little faith in such gadgets.

I will let you all know at the end of the month.
My problem is that I get a lot of calls going through switchboards, which I need to receive, but they come up as Private Number - had to distinguish those.

oxy, this is the 2nd phone I had from the same company, the first was a 6500, for some reason it did not do what it intended to do, I followed the Manual to the book ( No Joy) I contacted the firm & upgraded to this 8500, followed the manual, after putting in all the calls we usually receive, Family / Friends / Health Center, I put my own message regards contacting me via my Mobile, up to now no calls, & no PPI Etc calls diverted to my Mobile, will keep ypu all updated later near the end of the Month.

Sorry, Boxy xx
So how does it work?

Does it filter numbers before forwarding the call on to you?

If it is an unrecognised number do they get the message to call your mobile? What does this achieve for the serious callers?

What happens when the cold callers find a way round the technology?

How many handsets do you get for £44?
Hi TWR, looks interesting! .. & a nice looking phone! Apparently there's the option to block by phone type .. mobile/ international/withheld/ unknown/ payphone & also a do not disturb option. Sounds good!
Question Author
2 handsets, the blocker does it's job & Blocks calls we do not know, this is after I have inserted the callers that we usually have, I can honestly say we have had no unwanted callers only family up to now.

I think my problem Ellina with the 5600, I have the package with SKY, the phone is BT, when looking through the Menu it comes up with " Call Control" I put in the Pin as requested 0000, it would not except this, I tried / Tried, reset the phone but still would not except that's why I sent it back & got this upgrade, It turns out the Phone will not except sky's Blocking system only BT's own, so that's why the PIN would not go in, but with SKY's Block Control the phone does what it's supposed to do, If anyone decides to go for this phone It sells at £44. 00, get it at Currys Etc, you will pay far more, Ed, I hope I am allowed to say this to help others? the Company is Called telephonesonline, & based in Newhaven Sussex.
I think it is cheaper just to not pick up on a withhold number. If they are legitimate they will leave a message.
