I have a fairly old computer and have just added 128ram but it's still nearly all used up, so I'd like to free some up. I have a lot of gumpf on the machine but as I am not sure what's what, I would like to transfer all my programs and documents to my second hard drive which is presently empty and wipe the first one, putting it back to factory settings. However I am not sure what else I should save. I am on win98.

Can anyone tell me where I can get step by step instructions or something to make sure I don't ruin my system? many thanks

I dont know if this is the correct way to do it, but I recently cleared one of my drives by formatting it.Go to my compuer, right click on the drive you want to format, and select format. It took about 20 minutes, and wiped the drive clean.I have since added files to the drive without problems.
