i ´m running malwarebytes at the moment, do you think its a virus problem? the crash thing has been there for about 5 days now.
any advice would be welcome

I'd re-install Libre Office to see if this resolves the problem. Are you getting any messages as regards the crash?

no i´m getting nothing. i think i´ll take your advice. i am also wondering if having open office also is connected to the problem, eg when i open libre office i get open office, which i didnt want

If you don't want Open Office just uninstall it via Control Panel/Programs and features
