Tablet Trouble

Use my Tablet when away from home.
No problem last week when visiting.
Home to a new router, tried connecting but something seems to be stuck when I reach authenticating.
Have carefully checked passwords.
HELP PLEASE!

How many devices are connected to the router?
My suspicion is that the tablet is using a MAC number already in use.

It is just the number assigned by the router to each gadget connected as a means of identification. Each device will have the same MAC number with the exception of the last two digits.

I would switch everything off, including the router. After a minute switch the router back on and when the lights have settled down switch your devices on.
It will certainly do no harm.

Thanks hc but I cannot understand the inability to authenticate. If it were not authentic then neither TV or laptop would be working.

Methyl is right, of course. I meant the IP address.

In simple terms if your laptop has the 02 as the last two digits the router won't accept your tablet if it is also trying to use 02, it should use 03 or the next available sequence. The laptop would still connect okay with the 02.

See back of router/hub for WEP number & insert into Settings/wifi. Disable bluetooth so theres no conflicting signals.
