Data Transfer From Flash Drive To Mobile Phone

I have recently purchased a USB/micro USB flash drive in order to transfer photo's and other data from my laptop into my nokia 201 mobile phone.
Can anyone advise on how I can do this. Nothing I do seems to work!

I'm unsure how one uses a flash drive with a mobile phone. Doesn't one simply connect a data cable and use appropriate software to make the data connection ?

Yes a Nokia Phone can use Nokia Suite as the software :-)

There are other progs out there though. I tend to find Nokia Suite integrates itself rather aggressively into the Windows environment rather than running within it as most things do. Works adequately though.

Thank you all for your kind response. It would seem however, that the Nokia Asha 201 cannot be used with a memory stick (Even one with a micro USB connection. Transfer by cable via Nokia suite is the only answer.
