Rotating A Picture In Word Processing

A friend has sent me a picture which is upside down and I have to put it in a newsletter. I am working with Windows 7 but I don't know how to rotate the picture, any help please?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If you have Windows 7 it will be the default photo viewer. Double-click on the file containing the photo and Windows Photo Viewer should start and display the photo.
I've been assuming that your friend has sent a file containing just the photo (a jpeg file, or similar). If that's not true it may be more complicated.
Incidentally, how do you know the picture is upside-down - you must have displayed it somehow. How did you do that?

Right click onto picture and save to your picture folder. Click open the folder, locate the image, right click onto it and from the drop-down menu you can select 'rotate clockwise (or counter clockwise) to correct it, From there you can copy to wherever you wish.(documents, e/mails, print etc)
