Alcatel Onetouch 7S

I got a new phone in March and the mobile company gave me a free Alcatel tablet. I wasn`t particularly bothered about it but the guy was quite persuasive so I took it. It`s only now that I realise I`m paying £8 per month for the damn thing. I already have a tablet (Samsung Galaxy) but what`s done is done. Before anyone tells me how stupid I am/should have asked questions etc, I bought the new phone in a panic because my mother was dying and I was in a right state and my phone had packed up when it was absolutely vital. Anyway, it`s 4G and has 2GB download allowance per month. I was thinking I might use it as an e reader. It`s Android jellybean. Does this sound like a good idea? I`ve never used an e reader before. Is it easy to download books? Do Kindle apps work on Android?

yes you can download a kindle app.
There are other apps as well, kobo and nook.
