Scanning Computer For Problems

I received a pop up from a company called Sparktrust offering to scan my computer for problems. They found 987 issues needing correction. I have not signed up. I know this is a way of getting business but when i scanned using Norton they only found 21 issues. Why the difference?

Very likely a scam, or at best a push for your money from a seller with a product that is incapable of spotting false positives and think everything suspicious is a problem. Stay well away from it.

Because they want your money, it's as simple as that.

Now that you have allowed Sparktrust to scan your pc, I would recommend you remove it via Add/Remove programs and whilst your looking at the list see if anything else has installed itself unbeknown to you.

I would suggest you also run a scan with Malwarebytes free, too make sure all is well

When you install, opt out of the free trial version and any other additional bits.

Meant to add, I wouldn't visit Sparktrust's website either as its coming up as 'not recommended'

It says it found 987 "problems" but these type of programs just make up any old number that makes it sound as though your machine it on its last legs.

If the computer is running ok then just ignore scaremongering programs like that.

as he has not replied to his post.
got to wonder why he did not ask before he took the plunge,is that not what "THE ANSWERBANK", is all about.

sorry for not replying. I normally ignore unsolicited anything. The program has been added to my list and pops up every time i sign on. As far as I can see there is no damage. How do I delete it from my system?
