Unable To Move E-Mails To Trash

Can anyone work out what I need to do please.
- "Unable to send or receive messages for the Gmail (my name) account. Header download for the 'Trash' folder did not complete. Could not select 'Trash' on the IMAP server. Try updating the folder list and then try again.
