What Do I Req For Windows10
18 Answers
After hypo's question yesterday I have found a minimum req spec for windows10. If you are running a 32bit device you will req.
16GHZ Processor or faster
1GB of RAM
16GB hard drive space
For a 64bit device you will need 2GB of RAM
You will need a DirectX 9 or later graphics card with a WDDM 1.0 driver and a 800 x 600 display or better. If you have windows 8 running you will need to download windows 8.1 first.

"What do I require...?"
The patience of a saint is what! After 19 "Update Failed" messages in a row, I found, downloaded & ran the Windows Update Troubleshooter which fixed whatever was apparently wrong then located a Command Line instruction that has now forced the download to begin.
I live in the village of the damned as far as BT's cabinet upgrades go & I've worked out that if the update status bar is accurately showing the time per %, the download will take 2.83 hours.
Heigh-ho...

Strewth Lie in that is a killer. How the hell do you manage to be so quick with your crossword answers? You must have the reactions of a praying mantis. Lucky up here. We live within 1 mile of main police hq, ambulance, and fire brigade hq. So great phone lines as per home office requirement. We pull about 9.6mb upload and 10.4 upload speeds.
I've put a message to check "Windows Updates" for any failure indicators on the other thread, but with respect to everyone, I'll hold off giving the work around I used until I know it was successful.
I'm a tad impatient so just went for it but I'd hate to discover something wrong later on having given the same instructions to others. If it works & they're still needed later on, I'll be happy to oblige.
Hope that makes sense :-)

ael - that shows as -
"This update helps Microsoft make improvements to the current operating system in order to ease the upgrade experience to the latest version of Windows."
I must state I'm NOT an expert, but would guess it could cause a problem.
Have you tried "unhiding" it & trying again? If you do & it fails, can you note the "Failure Code", it might help us take it further.

It doesn't mean much to me & I'd suggest careful reading & a certain degree of caution if you're not overly confident :-)
