As I`ve now updated to Win 10 and have no intention of reverting to 7 Pro can I now uninstall it and sell my genuine original disks? Your thoughts please.

You can sell or do what you like within reason with the disks. It's the licence that cost. And Microsoft being the awkward tight fisted group of money grabbers they are, make it very difficult to transfer from one PC to another legally.

It was just a theoretical question as the title says. I think you will find that 7 is still in a directory called Windows.old for a limited time to give you a chance to downgrade. I have already seen people elsewhere saying they are going to do so.
some people will downgrade for the same reason as some people still use XP - they don't like being out of their comfort zone

It's hardly enough time for a subjective evaluation though is it.
