Why would the keypad stop working to search in google on this iPad it won't type in the search box in Google any ideas how to sort it please

Hold the home button and the power button to completely turn off the iPad.

When you turn it on again, go to settings andthen Safari, and empty History and caches.

Should work after that.

Tried that but not working ,the keypad is working on ab as you can see but not on Google

Try deleting the google app then restoring it

Google search is in Safari and you cannot delete the app.

Try going into settings, and then Safari, and then changing the search engine setting to Bing or DuckDuckGo and see if you get the keyboard. You can always change it back to Google afterwards.

If you've got the google app, press and hold it until it shakes then delete it

Can you be a bit clearer what you mean by the search box in Google.

Do you mean the search engine (that is built into the iPad) or a Google app or website?
