A Question To All You Aerodynamicists
1 Answers
One thing puzzles me slightly about wind tunnels and how the results obtained in one correlate with true effects. A wind tunnel creates moving air [all very turbulent and dynamic] against a stationary object. In real life it's the object moving through still "tidy" air. So, are real life results actually better than the wind tunnel predicts or is it the other way around? I'm not for one minute doubting how useful a wind tunnel is for development work.
