We number-crunched recently - we had phone with BT, Sky TV and Virgin broadband which we'd had since NTL provided it.
BT charges seemed very high and customer service totally rubbish.
Sky was OK but they seem to constantly have new packages to upgrade to meaning your viewing qulaity or choce of channels always slightly disappoints (for us, anyway)
So we went with one of the bigger Virgin bundles for phone, TV and broadband, which means we are paying less on a monthly basis.
Good phone service, excellent broadband. We slightly miss some Sky channels eg we won't get next season of Game of Thrones, or Baby TV for the littlun, or Homes Under The Hammer......but im indoors has all the sport he can handle.
Virgin customer care is Ok to indifferent, but at least phoning them is free under the package.
