I seem to have lost my new message sound notification, the vibration and dropdown preview still works, I've been through all the settings and tried different sounds to no avail, it's doing my nut in, any help out there to keep me sane?

Can I keep you sane? No. Do I have a solution? No.

My Samsung Galaxy has lost its text message received sound - I just assumed that I had done something stupid. Like you I have tried everything and may have to buy a new phone.

I had to reset my phone to factory settings and everything works fine now.
