Msi Laptop Touchpad
6 Answers
I'm sometimes accidentally touching something on the touchpad of my laptop that causes the font size of text on the screen to become smaller. I can enlarge it again by pressing Ctrl and the + symbol (isn't the internet wonderful!).
The problem is that nothing comes up on the screen before or during this text size decrease so I can't pinpoint what I'm doing that I shouldn't be doing. Would anyone have any idea?
Thank you.

At a guess, your problem may be to do with the Mouse Touch pad configured to use 'pinch zoom' facility.
If so take a look at the following info on how to disable that function and other settings, it may help:-

I believe that your Mouse Touchpad driver type is Synaptics. If so, you should be disable the pinch-zoom gesture on your laptop using these steps:
- Press the 'Windows' key + R this brings up the Run box. In the Run box type "control panel" and then hit Enter.
- Click on 'Mouse'' (If you dont see that option but you do see 'Hardware and Sound' click that and then you should 'Mouse'). This opens the Mouse Properties window.
- Next, click the right-most tab, labeled 'Device Settings', and click the 'Settings' button.
- Next, from the left-hand column, click 'Pinch Zoom' and uncheck the box on the right labeled 'Enable Pinch Zoom'.
- Click 'OK' to save your preference.
- Click on the '2-Finger Gestures' tab and uncheck the box labeled 'Zoom In/Out'.
- Click 'OK' to save your preference and hopefully you should then able to enjoy zoom-free computing!
Hope that works for you.
