When I click a link, or a site has a pop-up, Internet Explorer 6 running on XP is now opening up in a tiny window, about a quarter of the size of the screen. It wasn't doing this before, so does anyone know how to change the automatic size of new windows?

I know that there's an 'official' answer to this somewhere but I can't remember what or where it is! This doesn't matter much, anyway, as the 'unofficial' way I do it should suffice:

When you click a link and get a small window, do NOT maximise it by clicking the square in the the top right-hand corner. Instead, make the window fill the screen by using 'drag-&-click' on the edges of the window. For some strange reason, IE6 always opens windows using the size (& location on the screen) which the last window was dragged to but ignores windows which were resized using the 'maximise' square.

From then on, all windows should open full-size.

Fantastic!

That's been bugging me for AGES. The one thing I have to add is that it only remembers the full screen size once you've closed the dragged window. Opening more links before closing the original dragged one just results in more fiddly we popups.
