When I click on a link within a web page to send an email, the email 'form' does not have a send button. Can anyone say why? I get around it by cutting and pasting the email address into a new email.

All Microsoft programs (everything from Outlook Express & Internet Explorer through to Write & Publisher) seem to have a nasty habit of losing toolbars.

In every case, the toolbars can be restored via the 'View' menu item. In your case, go to 'View', then 'Toolbars' and check whether there's a tick next to 'Standard Buttons'. (From what you've described I'm sure that there won't be). Click on 'Standard Buttons' to put the tick in place. Hey presto - problem solved! (With a bit of luck - and luck is always called for with Bill Gates' software - the system should remember your preferences so you should only need to do this once).

Thanks Chris, you are the only person to give me a sensible answer to a question I have asked of various bodies for over a year. I will follow your instructions next time I need to and let you know how it goes.
Thanks for your kind comments, Thomas.

If you want to test out my ideas you can always use the e-mail link to me from this page:

(The link is at the end of the paragraph starting, 'To minimise dowload times . . .' Feel free to send a blank e-mail as a test ).
