It should do: LibreOfficeCalc is excel-like, and LibreOffice Write is word-like.

Thanks, Jim, for your speedy reply. If Publisher is not included do you know of any equivalent free download?
Don't know about Libreoffice, but I use Open Office, which works really well - but you can't open Microsoft Word documents, even though Open Office says you can. If you don't need to open such documents, it's fine and works like Microsoft Word, Excel etc
I'm afraid not, at least not myself. The best I can recommend, according to other threads on similar topics, is probably Scribus.

OpenOffice includes Presentation, an alternative to Publisher
Forgot to say LibreOffice has Impress, their equivalent to Publisher
Impress isn't equivalent to Publisher. It's a presentation program, similar to PowerPoint.

Here's what LibreOffice offers users:

Here's the same for OpenOffice:

Neither has a program equivalent to Publisher. Scribus (as recommended above) is a good open-source DTP program. PagePlus Starter Edition is also an excellent freebie (and is what I'm happy to recommend from personal experience):

You most certainly can, brainiac.
Agreed, TheChair!
