Printer's Stopped Printing

My 4-month-old HP Deskjet 1514 has stopped printing or copying, but it will scan okay. Nothing in my set-up has changed - same computer etc, and it definitely is not out of ink. When I press 'Print' it SOUNDS like it is printing, but the paper just comes through blank. Am at my wits end!

Have you looked to see if it has Paper Block, Open the back & see if it's clear

Thanks, will try that, but I think if there's a block the ! symbol flashes...
It could be blocked printing jets. Have you tried doind a cleaning cycle?
Try Switching off, leave for 5mins it should reset, I have the 2540, is it picking up the Wireless light ( Blue)

This happened to a cousin of mine and it turned out to be the print queue wouldn't clear. She tried to print a document and it wouldn't print. Thought no more of it until she tried a few days later when another doc wouldn't print. I went and had a look and found the printer queue still had the original doc listed as well as the latest one. Googled "stuck printer queue" (or something similar) and found a solution. A bit involved but it did the trick.Good luck

Many thanks for all your answers. Not been a good day tech-wise as had to take a new laptop back to Currys, and the're sending it off to be fixed (wouldn't turn on). Will try your suggestions, and if they don't resolve things, then the %*&%*% printer's going back as well!!
Whenever I have had a problem I do a live messge chat with tech support at HP.
They will remotely diagnose and repair the error. If it is a mechanical fault they will arrange a new printer to be sent to you.

Thanks mjw. Rang the 0800 number on the (Tesco) receipt on Saturday, and they said to ring back on Monday and they'll put me through to HP. Hope they can diagnose and fix down the line!
