How to open module clamps in a HP laptop

I recently purchased some extra RAM for my HP Compaq nx6110 laptop but when i came to install the ram i cant work out how to open the module clamps so i can pop the ram into place I have looked for step by step guides to installing ram on the net but they just say push the ram into place and the clamps will move into place but ive tried this and they didnt budge and i dont want press down too hard and break somehting! Any ideas how the damn things open ? Thanks J

The documentation that came with the laptop should tell you how to add memory.
