I wish to turn my TV into a smart TV, there seems many plug in devices on the market, but which one is the best to go for, and why?

It depends what you want. Amazon Fire is very good if you have Amazon Prime.

Now TV might suit you. It's cheap (on offer at the moment), you can watch the catch up services free and then pay a low monthly charge for any extras you want. It's a rolling month so you are not contracted to pay for a year.

She has Freeview - no sky and no broadband. She has a plasma Sony maybe 42" - thanks.

Freesat actually offers a few more channels than Freeview, Conne, so your sister could consider getting a satellite dish and a Freesat set-top box.

However the choice isn't that much greater than with Freeview, so she might not think that it's worth the outlay.

thanks Chris - she wouldn't like "change" if it involved too much. I did mention Sky to her but no way hosay.

My cousin has an aunt 93 years old - got a plasma in bedroom and dvd player combined which she loves. Don't know what this is about but got somebody to "colour" buttons so she knows how to play DVD.
