1 Answers
I am a silly old woman who is thinking about buying a laptop, specificaly for using on my holiday in Australia in November. I know I won't have access to a land line, please please could you advise me the best way to connect to the internet from a laptop out in Australia, I would be so greatful for any information and help you could give me. Please forgive me if this sounds silly but I really have no idea about these things and I am really desperate to get this solved.
Many thanks

they'll also have a connection on the side for an ethernet cable or a normal phone connection for dial-up internet.
you should then be able to find "wifi hotspots"... little areas where there is a wifi (wireless internet) connection available. often in coffee shops like starbucks. You'll probably only find this in the more major of towns and cities in Aussie. Not sure how you'd go about getting an internet connection in the middle of the outback, without a satellite connection or something.
